Worksheet on Addition and Subtraction of Measuring Length

Practice the worksheet on addition and subtraction of measuring length in meter and centimeter. The questions are related to add, subtract and word problems on finding the sum and difference of lengths measured.

1. Maria has a rope 7 m long and  Jenny has another rope 9 m long. What is the total length of both the ropes?

2. A rope is 32 m long. If 12 m of rope is cut off from it, what is the length of the rope left?

3. If the length of a bed is 225 cm and breadth is 115 cm, by how much does the length exceed the breadth? Find the sum of the length and breadth in m and cm.

4. Add the following:

(i) 24 m + 15 m = ___ m

(ii) 35 cm + 22 cm = ___ cm

(iii) 4 m 20 cm + 5 m 35 cm = ___ m ___ cm

5. Subtract the following:

(i) 37 m – 15 m = ___ m

(ii) 49 m – 24 m = ___ m

(iii) 38 cm – 25 cm = ___ cm

(iv) 28 m – 12 m = ___ m

(v) 15 m 35 cm – 10 m 21 cm = ___ m ___ cm

(vi) 24 m 19 cm – 12 m 12 cm = ___ m ___ cm
