Multiplication Table of 15

Repeated addition by 15’s means the multiplication table of 15.

(i) When 8 rows of fifteen men each.

By repeated addition we can show 15 + 15 + 15 + 15 + 15 + 15 + 15 + 15 = 120

Then, fifteen 8 times or 8 fifteen’s

8 × 15 = 120

Therefore, there are 120 men.


(ii) When 11 flower-vase having 15 roses each.

By repeated addition we can show 15 + 15 + 15 + 15 + 15 + 15 + 15 + 15 + 15 + 15 + 15 = 165

Then, fifteen 11 times or 11 fifteen’s

11 × 15 = 165

Therefore, there are 165 roses.

15 Times Table on Number Line

(i) Start at 0. Hop 15, three times. Stop at 45.

3 fifteen’s are 45         3 × 15 = 45


(ii) Start at 0. Hop 15, five times.

Stop at ____. Thus, it will be 75

5 fifteen’s are 75        5 × 15 = 75


(iii) Start at 0. Hop 15, nine times.

Stop at ____. Thus, it will be 135

9 fifteen’s are 135         9 × 15 = 135
