Mass

Mass is measured in gram.

We use the word weight of a body instead of Mass. The standard unit of Mass is Grams.

This can also be remembered by using the following statement:

King Harry Died Grandmother Didn`t Cry Much.

The ‘G’ in Grandmother stands for GRAMS which is the standard unit of mass.

For Example:

1. g → mg

1 g = 1000 mg

Therefore, 2 g = 2000 mg

2. kg → g

1 kg = 1000 g

Therefore, 3.5 kg = 3500 g

3. g → hg

1 g = 1/100 hg

3 g = 3/100 hg

Therefore, 3g = 0.3 hg

4. g → kg

1 g = 1/1000 kg

5.4 g = 5.4/1000 kg

Therefore, 5.4 g =0.0054 kg

5. g → mg

1 g = 1000 mg

Therefore, 4 g = 4000 mg
