Addition on a Number Line
In addition on a number line we will learn to count numbers on a number line.
We can also add by counting ahead on the number line. From here we begin to add two single digit numbers up to 5.
Let’s try to add:
1 + 2 = 3.
2 + 1 = ………… .
1 + 3 = ………… .
2 + 2 = …………. .
4 + 1 = …………. .
3 + 2 = …………. .
Questions and Answers on Addition on a Number Line:
1. Show the following addition on the number line.
(i) 2 + 4 = _____
(ii) 5 + 3 = _____
(iii) 4 + 5 = _____
(iv) 7 + 2 = _____
These are the basic number concepts in addition on a number line that are very important to learn in kindergarten.
