In 4 times table we will learn how to read and write multiplication table of 4.


We read four times table as: 

One time four is 4

Two times four is 8

Three times four is 12

Four times four is 16

Five times four is 20

Six times four is 24

Seven times four is 28

Eight times four is 32

Nine times four is 36

Ten times four is 40

Eleven times four is 44

Twelve times four is 48

We write 4 times table as:

1 × 4 = 4

2 × 4 = 8

3 × 4 = 12

5 × 4 = 20

6 × 4 = 24

7 × 4= 28

8 × 4 = 32

10 × 4 = 40

11 × 4 = 44

10. A box has 25 pencils. How many pencils are there in 4 such boxes?

Solution:

No. of pencils in 1 box = 25

No. of boxes = 4

Therefore, total no. of pencils in 4 boxes = 25 × 4

Answer: There will be 100 pencils in 4 boxes.


11. In a jar there are 112 lollipops. How many lollipops are there in 4 such jars?

Solution:

No. of lollipops in 1 jar = 112

No. of jars = 4

Therefore, total no. of lollipops in 4 jars = 112 × 4

Answer: There will be 448 lollipops in 4 jars.



12. Using the multiplication time’s table of 4, calculate 4 times 3.

Solution:

According to the 4 times tables, 4 times 3 = 4 × 3 = 12

Therefore, 4 times 3 = 12

 

13. Each group of students has 4 students. How many students will there be in 16 such groups?

Solution:

No of students in each group = 4

No of groups = 16

Therefore, total no. of students in 16 groups = 4 × 16 = 64

Answer: There will be 64 students in 16 groups.

In a cafe there are 20 tables. Each table has 4 people. How many people are there in the cafe?

Solution:

No of tables in a cafe = 20

No of people in each table = 4

Therefore, total no. of people = 4 × 20 = 80

Answer: There are 80 people in the cafe.
